Revert a Disk to Basic Disk

Dynamic disks support three partition types namely, Extended partitions, OEM partitions and type 0x42 for dynamic volumes. However, if MBR contains any invalid partition type, your system might run into an issue. At times, when you observe that disk is appearing as ‘Dynamic Unreadable’, it simply indicates that MBR contains invalid partition type that dynamic disks don’t support. It usually occurs when the MBR is damaged or improperly altered. Thus, to restore the lost information in this way, you require using your recent data backup. However to cope up with the situations that might occur due to data backup unavailability or damage, you should use Disk Recovery tools for recovery purpose.

You might observe following symptoms while using a Windows XP, Server 2003 or 2000 based system:

-You open Disk Management snap-in and disk appears as ‘Dynamic Unreadable’

-You try to use Revert to Basic Disk option and get an error that it will cause data loss. Next, you click yes to the option, but the process fails

-You try to use Diskpart.exe utility for converting the disk to a basic disk. You get a false message stating that it has been successfully converted into basic disk. Next, you rescan the disk, but it still appears ad ‘Dynamic Unreadable’

Cause

Basic causes responsible for this behavior to occur are:

-You are running Windows earlier than Windows 2000 and have deleted or recreated the partition using Fdisk.exe. This causes the disk to appear as damaged dynamic disk and prevent you to convert it back to basic disk

-MBR or EBR is corrupted and is forcing to appear a basic disk as damaged dynamic disk. It can occur if MBR or EBR contains a hexadecimal 0x42 value.

Solution

Follow these steps to solve the existing issue:

-Use Diskmap.exe or Dmdiag.exe utility in verbose mode to output MBR information containing system IDs and partition types in hexadecimal format.

-If this information contains invalid types, you should next use clean command of Dskprobe.exe or alternatively, Diskpart.exe utility to remove all disk partitions.

-The above step will delete all the data from the disk, so use your recent data backup to restore. In case of any backup concerns, scan your disk using Data Recovery tools. These are powerful hard disk recovery tools built to scan and safely recover the lost information.

* Save the file and restart your machine and now you can see that app listed in the add/remove programs list.

I searched Over net and Found this article.I hope this will be very useful for retrieving back your Hacked Orkut Account.
As Google Account is a single account used across all Googles services like Gmail, Orkut, Blogger, Adsense, Checkout. etc, it can turn out to be our worst nightmare if it gets hacked!

Like many other online services Google tries to protect your account with secret question as well as optional secondary email address. But there is one more official option which only Google Provides!

Now lets go step-by-step…



1. Trying “Forget Password” Option


I know this will not work in most cases, as options like forget password rely on secondary email address and security question, both of which can be easily changed once a account gets hacked. Still you should try atleast once as most password gets hacked by script kiddies and not by real hackers.


2. What if “Forget Password” Option Fails


You can submit a form to Google in which you can provide details about your Google Account usage.

Details include information which most likely only real owner can provide. Here are few things for example…

• Last successful login date
• Account creation date
• Google products you used with this account and the date you started using each one
• Details about Orkut account (if you use Orkut)
• Details about Blogger account (if you use Blogger)

Now most important part is what they quoted on the form,

“Please answer each question as thoroughly and accurately as possible. If you’re not certain about some of the information, provide your closest estimate. Whether or not we can return your account depends on the strength and accuracy of your responses.”

So I will suggest following things…

• Your goal should be to give Google maximum & accurate data! So take your time and submit form with maximum amount of information possible. You can consult your trusted friends if you are not sure. As an example it could be Sam or Bob who invited you on orkut. If you are not sure call them up and ask it!
• Submit only one form! Yes this should be common sense. Do not submit multiple forms. A person who uses around 10-15 Google products asked me if he can submit multiple forms mentioning different Google products.
• Submit form from the place which you use most often to access your account like PC at home! Although they haven’t mentioned this explicitly, line above submit button says, “Please note that we need your IP address in ordrer to resolve this issue. Your IP address will be captured automatically when you submit this form.”

I advise everyone to have a look at this form and information it asks. You can prepare a document about secret info, may be in cell phone or pen down it on a paper. This will come handy if something goes wrong in future!

Step 1

Create Folder On your Desktop or any place as long as you know where that folder is..... like so..... and call it what you wish


STEP 2
Now Right Click the folder and click "Add to Archive" Like so
Now we are ready to Add our custom Image

STEP 3
When RAR Archive opens up click on Comments Tab

STEP 4
This is where we will add our custom Image the Image you need to add is ASCII Format there are many programs and sites out there that wil make any sort of ASCII Image For Now I will use a Spider.... What you do here is this

1)Open up notepad with your ASCII Image highlite it all ( ctrl + a ) (u can use above image to use it in ur notepad n then after in .rar file)
2)Copy the image by Pressing ( ctrl +c )
3)And paste it in our RAR Archive by pressing ( ctrl + v )

VOILLA! U DONE

Dont worry if the image don't look same as notepad when you compress the RAR file it will turn out Just fine.....

There were a lot of external device that can practically damaged your computer,if you are one of those who want to put security on their computer while they are away and want to restrict access via USB device you might want to consider doing this steps



Step 1

To prevent the spread of malware and possible theft to possible data from your computer bear with me with this process and be mindful of its sequence, because this might take some keen eyes on your part

(go to start)
(click on run, hit ok)
(under the "run" box, type "regedit" then enter)
(as soon as you enter a new box will appear, this will be the REGISTRY EDITOR)

Step 2

Now prepare to the following steps, you will only do this registry tweak value to DISABLE USB Flash devices altogether

(Double click the HKEY LOCAL MACHINE)
(Click SYSTEM)
(Open CURRENT CONTROL SET)
(Click SERVICES)
(Then find and scroll down to USBSTOR key)
(As soon as you open up the USBSTOR please look on your right side to check the values)
(look and click START, you will find that the original value will be 3)
(Change this to 4 to disable the USB mass storage driver)
(Click ok)

Step 3

Configuring this setting will not affect your User file directory, but will prevent the driver from starting each time you insert a USB device

Now to return to NORMAL operation simply
(type 3 on the start value) VOILLA ! U DONE
You must restart your computer and see the effect.
